Group Lead Software Development and Functional Testing

In our newly created Software Defined Systems Team, you manage and inspire an expanding team of up to 20 professionals with a drive to improve, grow and explore new areas of expertise. Our software and test teams are a mix of talented young professionals and in-depth experts. To be added with new architecture development and test talents.

We expect you to have natural and authentic leadership and professional management skills combined with an eye for competence improvement. The competences of your group include:

• Software Architecture & Design
• Software Engineering
• Real-time & Embedded & Cloud Software Development
• Software Configuration Management
• Software Test, Integration & Release
• HIL (Integration) Testing

You can convince our customers of your technological choices and engage them in our software development and/or testing activities and decisions.

 You will also be responsible for the review and release of all software and testing deliverables. You will work with project managers, team leads and managers and lead engineers from various companies. Our international customers in automotive, research, and energy management operate in high tech environments and the projects involved can vary within these industries. You maintain contacts with existing and new customers to ensure product quality and way-of-working on new technologies.

You are responsible for competency growth, culture, and recruitment of your group. 

Your profile

You have the ambition to manage and coach your team of engineers to excel as one in delivering quality software and testing solutions. You have a keen eye for the latest technologies and a drive to use them in projects. Other important skills are:

• A master's degree in Embedded Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering;
• At least five years of experience in a leading position in a high-tech multidisciplinary development environment;
• You are a pro-active, analytical, creative person with a “can do” mentality;
• You are goal and results driven;
• You are striving for excellence of yourself and your team in everything you do;
• Good communication skills verbal and written in English;
• Experience with both vehicle and cloud software development, and their interaction is a plus;
• Experience with setting up processes and teams from almost scratch is a plus.
