ORIX Europe focuses on group consolidation, reporting, tax and internal auditing. In addition, ORIX Europe provides the support functions including legal, fiscal affairs, risk and compliance for ORIX Corporation to expand other strategic business lines in Europe. Next to the traditional financial holding functions, ORIX Europe is responsible for further development of internal communication and for increasing effectiveness of ORIX Europe group wide. ORIX Europe seeks synergies across the ORIX Europe group and maintains a professional network internally and externally. ORIX Europe also manages the activities of ORIX Corporation UK (ORIX UK), an in 2018 incorporated subsidiary in the UK which is actively seeking investment opportunities

Your role

In this position, you will support the accounting and reporting activities of ORIX Europe and several group companies. You will gain experience across the full reporting cycle, gradually take ownership of recurring activities and contribute to improving and automating finance processes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting the monthly close for ORIX Europe and its group companies
• Preparing the monthly consolidation and financial reporting for the Management Board and ORIX Corporation in Japan
• Preparing financial disclosures and variance analyses
• Supporting VAT, Dutch tax accounting and UK administration
• Monitoring accounts payable and preparing payments
• Helping subsidiaries comply with group policies and accounting guidelines
• Performing SOx controls and supporting internal control procedures
• Contributing to finance projects and business development activities
• Improving and automating processes using tools such as Power Query and Python

You do not need to be an automation specialist from day one. What matters is that you enjoy working with data, are eager to learn and are willing to challenge repetitive or manual processes.

What you bring:

• 1-3 years of experience in an accounting and reporting department in a similar role
• A degree in Accounting or a related field
• Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with accounting
• Experience with group financial consolidation processes
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Clear and confident communication in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Comfortable handling and navigating large amounts of data
• Experience with Power Query is preferred
• Familiarity with Python, Power BI or similar tools is an advantage
• Applied knowledge of IFRS
• Knowledge of Dutch reporting requirements and internal controls
• Knowledge of US GAAP is preferred
