Agricultural mechanic

You don't need to be told how a hydraulic system works or how to diagnose a malfunction. As an experienced Agricultural Mechanic, you work in the workshop on the maintenance and repair of large agricultural machines from leading A-brands. Technically challenging work for a true craftsman — with the possibility of field service for those who want it.

You will be working for a specialized dealer of agricultural machinery with multiple locations throughout the Netherlands. The company is an authorized dealer of one of the largest and most leading brands in the agricultural sector. The location where you will be working is determined based on availability and your residential location.

The organization serves a broad customer base — from farmers and contract companies to municipalities and green suppliers. There is a strong system for parts delivery and technical support, so you as a mechanic can always switch quickly. It is an informal work environment with short lines, involved colleagues, and a close team culture.

As an Agricultural Mechanic, you will primarily work in the workshop to maintain, repair, modify, inspect, and prepare agricultural machinery and GPS equipment for delivery. You will work on complex systems that require both mechanical engineering and electrical knowledge - think of hydraulics, drive technology, sensor technology, and electrical control systems.

You work independently and know what you are doing. You are only satisfied when the machine is working properly again and the customer can move on. For those who want to and demonstrate the ability, there are opportunities in the long term to also work off-site at customer locations.

Duties:

• Maintaining, repairing, and overhauling agricultural machinery and GPS equipment
• Diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Conducting inspections and preparing machines for delivery
• Working with diagnostic software and electronic systems
• Accurately recording performed tasks
• Collaborating with colleagues and advising customers on technical questions

• Proven experience as a mechanic in agriculture, agricultural mechanization, or a similar technical sector — not an entry-level position
• Strong electrotechnical knowledge alongside a mechanical engineering foundation
• Independent and precise work attitude with attention to quality
• Customer-oriented and strong communication skills
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language (oral and written) — required
• Driving license B

• Gross hourly wage of €20.00 - €24.00
• 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km
• Weekly payment
• 27 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable salary
• Minimum 40 hours per week with option for overtime
