Introductie

As a car mechanic you will work at one garage or car dealership in the Netherlands. Indication: €17 to €23 gross per hour, depending on your experience and the client. Need housing? Then we arrange it, always with your own bedroom. We first discuss your experience and wishes, including your schedule and work environment, and then introduce you to the client that suits you best.

Waar je komt te werken:

You will work at one client in the Netherlands: an independent garage, a brand dealership or a workshop for light commercial vehicles. We decide together which one. We first discuss your experience and wishes, including your schedule and work environment. Then we look at which client suits you best and introduce you there. If you are hired, you start working there, with the goal that you stay.

The size of the team and who supervises you differ per client. We tell you this in advance.

Wat je gaat doen:

Your exact tasks depend on the client. Your work usually includes the following:

  • You carry out servicing on passenger cars or light commercial vehicles.
  • You replace wear parts such as brakes, tyres, exhausts and timing belts.
  • You find and fix faults, often using diagnostic equipment.
  • You repair or replace parts of the engine, suspension and electrical systems.
  • You prepare cars for the APK (the Dutch periodic vehicle inspection).
  • You record your work and the parts used in the workshop system.

Practical:

  • Location: at one client in the Netherlands, which we decide together.
  • Schedule: usually day shifts, at some garages you also work on Saturdays. We agree the schedule with you in advance, so you know where you stand from the start.
  • Work environment: independent garage, brand dealership or commercial vehicle workshop. We agree this with you in advance.
  • Working conditions: these differ per client and we discuss them with you in advance. Expect standing work, working under the lift, oil and grease, and lifting up to about 20 kg.
  • Start: by agreement.
Wat wij vragen:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a car mechanic in a garage or dealership.
  • You speak English well enough to communicate clearly at work.
  • In possession of an EU passport — a residence permit is not sufficient.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with fault diagnosis using diagnostic equipment.
  • APK inspector certification (Dutch periodic vehicle inspection).
  • Driving licence B.
Wat wij bieden:
  • Indication: €17 to €23 gross per hour. Your exact wage depends on your experience and the client, and can be higher or lower.
  • Need housing? Then we arrange it, always with your own bedroom. The personal contribution is deducted from your wage. Already have your own place? That is fine too.
  • Contract via EU Force, with the intention of long-term employment.
  • Weekly payment.
  • At least 8% holiday allowance and at least 24 holiday days.
  • Pension: at least 23.4% premium on the pension base, of which you contribute 7.5% (deducted before tax).
  • Health insurance via EU Force possible, the costs are deducted from your wage.
  • Own transport is preferred, with travel allowance. Transport via EU Force is possible for a personal contribution.
