Outline Job Description
As Data Analyst, you are responsible for creating value from business driven data and analytics initiatives. An important task is to support the business and other stakeholders in their data-driven objectives. You will help the business in identifying use cases and prioritize them based on feasibility and value. The Data Analyst helps with the development of data products from start to end (often starting with a minimum viable product). You will also make sure the (key) users adopt the service and/or product. Common responsibilities for Data Analysts include extracting data using special (designing) tools and software, responding to data-related queries, setting up processes to make data more efficient, analysing and interpreting trends from the data, and reporting trends to add business value.
In short, as Data Analyst you will;
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to identify and define KPI's and improvements in business information delivery.
- Inspire stakeholders on data analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
- Recommend, develop, visualize, implement and support information dashboards, business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
- Monitor data usage patterns to discover opportunities for improvement, but also be sharp on detecting issues.
- Instruct key users how to use newly developed capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into actionable plan, ready for development.
- Ensure a holistic approach to data is guaranteed to serve the best interest of the organisation.
In this role, you will report directly to the Department Head ICT.
RequirementsWe are looking for
A Data Analyst with strong communication and listening skills. A professional who is creative and has innovative power. Furthermore, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical- or business processes discipline.
- Over 3 years of relevant experience.
- Computer literacy for relevant applications (as per requirements) like Power BI, SQL server, Power Query. Knowledge of M-Files, 4PS and Maximo is nice to have.
- Knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL, etc) and Power BI development. Preferably PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certificate.
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifice.
- Technical expertise regarding data models and database designs.
