Introductie

As a dispatch worker, you work in Ommel at a large food producer that processes chicken into end products. You earn €17.31 gross per hour, plus allowances depending on your shift. Be aware: you work in the cold (1 to 5 °C), with strict hygiene rules, busy peak moments and colleagues from many different countries. Do you need housing? Then we arrange it for you, always with a private bedroom.

Waar je komt te werken:

You work at a large food producer in Ommel, North Brabant. The company processes supplied chicken into end products for the food industry. No slaughtering takes place. The dispatch area has several departments, each with its own tasks and shifts.

First, we discuss your experience and wishes. Then we choose the department and shift that suit you best. That is where you start, with the goal that you stay. We tell you in advance how big your team is and who supervises you.

Wat je gaat doen:

You work in one of the dispatch departments. Your exact tasks depend on the department. Your work usually includes the following:

  • You weigh dolavs (large plastic containers) and register them in the system
  • You load and unload trucks with an electric pallet truck (EPT)
  • You drive a forklift
  • You move dolavs within the dispatch area
  • You label and scan products and dolavs

Good to know:

  • Cold: the dispatch area is refrigerated, usually between 1 and 5 °C. You work there for your entire shift.
  • Work pressure: at peak moments the pace is high and the work can be stressful. You need to keep working fast and accurately.
  • Hygiene: you wear a face mask and hairnet during your entire shift. The hygiene rules are strict and also apply when it is busy.
  • International team: your colleagues come from many different countries. Not everyone speaks English well, so communication is not always easy.

Don't recognise yourself in this? Then this job is probably not the right fit for you.

Practical:

  • Location: Ommel, North Brabant
  • You work in one department, in one fixed shift pattern. We agree on which one together in advance. The options:
    • 3-shift system (early, late, night), changes every week: 12.5% allowance, and 30% for part of the hours during night shifts
    • Fixed day shift: no allowance
    • Fixed evening shift: 30% for the hours after 21:00, usually 3.25 hours per shift
    • Evening and night shift: 30% for the hours after 21:00 in the evening, 30% for 7 hours at night
Wat wij vragen:
  • In possession of an EU passport — a residence permit is not sufficient
  • You have work experience in a dispatch department
  • You speak English well enough to communicate clearly at work
  • You can work at least 40 hours per week in one of the shifts listed
  • You can work a full shift in a room of 1 to 5 °C
  • You stay calm and accurate at busy moments
  • You follow strict hygiene rules, also under time pressure
  • You work well with colleagues from other countries, even when language is not always easy
  • You can work with a scanner and a simple computer system

Nice to have:

  • Forklift certificate
  • Experience with an EPT
Wat wij bieden:
  • €17.31 gross per hour, plus a 5.77% ADV allowance (reduced working hours) on your first 40 hours per week
  • Need housing? Then we arrange it for you, always with a private bedroom. Your contribution is deducted from your wage. Already have your own place to live? Also good
  • At least 40 hours per week, overtime possible
  • Allowance per shift: 12.5% in the 3-shift system, 30% for evening hours after 21:00 and for night hours (see Practical)
  • Contract via EU Force, with the intention of long-term employment. After 12 months of good work, there is an opportunity for a permanent contract with the client
  • Weekly salary payment
  • 8% holiday allowance and 24 vacation days
  • At least 23.4% premium on the pensionable salary, of which you contribute 7.5% (deducted before tax)
  • Health insurance via EU Force is possible, the costs are deducted from your wage
  • Travel allowance with your own transport: €0.18 per km, maximum €9 per day
