Would you like to work as a technician on machines and equipment you won’t find just anywhere?

For an international technical organisation active in the maritime industry, I am looking for a Mechanical Technician in the Klundert region. The company develops, builds and maintains specialist technical equipment used for complex projects worldwide.

This is not standard production work or repetitive assembly. You will be working with special-purpose machinery, prototypes, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.

The organisation operates internationally within a highly technical environment, where engineering, innovation and in-house development of specialist equipment play an important role.

At the location in the Klundert region, technical equipment is built, assembled, tested, maintained and prepared for operation.

This means you will be working on unique machines and technical equipment developed for demanding applications and environments.

As a Mechanical Technician – Special Machine Building, you will work within a technical equipment and maintenance department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling and building new machines and technical equipment;
• Building and testing prototypes;
• Working with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
• Maintaining, repairing and improving existing equipment;
• Testing machines and equipment before deployment;
• Troubleshooting technical issues;
• Contributing ideas for technical improvements and practical solutions.

The work is varied and combines machine building, assembly, maintenance and technical problem-solving. You will work alongside experienced technical colleagues and regularly encounter machinery and equipment that you will not find in a standard production environment.

Above all, you are someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, building equipment and solving technical problems.

You do not need to know everything from day one. Practical technical insight, curiosity and the motivation to further develop your skills are just as important.

We are looking for someone with:

• An MBO-level technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or a comparable field;
• Experience as a mechanical technician, assembly technician, maintenance technician or machine builder;
• An interest in hydraulics and pneumatics;
• Good practical and technical insight;
• A safe and accurate approach to work;
• Good command of the Dutch language.

Experience within the offshore or maritime industry is an advantage, but certainly not a requirement.
