First Technical Operator / Production Lead – Tholen Region

Salary: €3,600 - €4,100 gross per month | Day Shift | Permanent Contract | Metal & Engineering

Are you an experienced production operator, senior operator or hands-on production supervisor who enjoys leading by example? Do you have a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement? Then this is an excellent opportunity to join an international manufacturing company in the Tholen region that develops and produces high-quality technical equipment.

What will you be doing?

As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of a team of approximately 15 employees within the metalworking department. You will be highly visible on the production floor, actively working alongside your team while ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and according to schedule.

You will be the first point of contact for your colleagues and play an important role in motivating the team and driving continuous improvements throughout the production process.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and motivating a team of approximately 15 production employees.
• Working hands-on within the production process.
• Monitoring production planning, quality, safety and progress.
• Identifying and resolving production bottlenecks.
• Driving Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Training, coaching and developing team members.
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure an efficient production process.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organised working environment.

Who are you?

You are a natural leader who knows how to motivate people and create a positive working environment. You communicate clearly, take ownership and are approachable for your team.

In addition, you have:

• MBO level of working and thinking (vocational education or equivalent).
• Approximately 5–10 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience as a Production Lead, Team Leader, Senior Operator or in a similar hands-on supervisory role.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with or affinity for Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Good command of the Dutch language and a reasonable command of English.

Experience in metalworking or assembly is considered an advantage but is not essential. Solid experience within a production environment is, however, required.
