Introductie

Strong, alert, and not afraid to tackle challenges? As a line assistant, you are the engine behind the production line in the packing department. You will learn the trade from the inside and grow into an operator role. Physical work with a clear growth path - no two days are the same.

Waar je komt te werken:

You will be working at a large-scale food processing organization in the Ommel region. The company processes chicken parts into finished products for the European market - no slaughtering, only processing and production. This vacancy specifically concerns the packaging department, where the finished products are packed and prepared for shipment.

The organization is known for a stable, professional work environment where quality and efficiency are central. Work is done according to fixed schedules in a refrigerated production environment with strict hygiene protocols - for people who love structure and certainty, an ideal workplace.

The organization offers long-term employment: after 12 months, there is the possibility of a direct contract with the client.

Wat je gaat doen:

As a line assistant in the packing department, you support the line operator and ensure that the production line continues to run smoothly. You provide the line with raw materials in a timely manner, maintain an overview, and intervene as soon as something goes wrong. It is a role where physical effort and attentiveness come together: you work hard, but also think along.

You work in a fixed shift — early or late — without alternating between the two. This role is explicitly a stepping stone: those who prove themselves will grow into the role of operator, with more responsibility and a higher hourly wage.

Tasks:

  • Provides the line with raw materials in a timely manner
  • Builds knowledge of the line and the process
  • Supports the operator where necessary
  • Signals malfunctions and disruptions
  • Ensures correct registration and scanning of used raw materials
  • Uses an EPT
Wat wij vragen:
  • Physically fit and capable of performing physical, repetitive work
  • Proactive, attentive attitude — you see what is needed and act immediately
  • Work experience in a production environment required; experience in the food industry is a plus
  • Driving license B is a plus, not a requirement
  • Good command of the English language
Wat wij bieden:
  • Base gross hourly wage: €17.08
  • Evening supplement: 30% on all hours worked after 21:00, applicable for the late shift
  • 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
  • Travel allowance: €0.18 per km, max. €9.00 per day
  • Weekly payment
  • 24 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
  • Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable salary
  • Minimum 40 hours per week; overtime occurs regularly in the early shift, less often in the late shift
  • Fixed shift (early or late) - no rotation
  • After 12 months, possibility of a direct contract with the client
  • Opportunity for career progression to operator
