Informatie
Are you passionate about innovation and sustainability in packaging? I am looking for a talented Packaging Developer to join our dynamic team and be at the forefront of creating smart packaging solutions that make a difference!
In this role, you will work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, closely collaborating with experts in R&D, marketing, procurement, supply chain, and quality. You will also liaise with external packaging suppliers and co-manufacturers, bringing innovative ideas to life.
As a Packaging Developer, you will lead exciting projects from concept to implementation. Your responsibilities will include ensuring our packaging meets consumer expectations while adhering to legislative requirements and enhancing operational efficiency. Whether you're optimizing bottle designs for dairy drinks, improving pallet stability for cream products, or validating sustainable secondary packaging formats, your contributions will have a lasting impact across the entire value chain, from our producers to end consumers.
If you're ready to take the next step in your career and make a positive impact through packaging innovation, I want to hear from you! Join in creating sustainable packaging solutions for a better tomorrow.
One of the world's largest dairy cooperatives, headquartered in the Netherlands, brings together thousands of member farmers who collectively own the organization. It produces a wide range of dairy-based products-such as milk, cheese, yogurts, dairy drinks, ingredients, and specialized nutrition-distributed to consumers and businesses in more than 100 countries.
You'll have the opportunity to work with nearly every packaging material and technology, from Metal cans to boxes to industrial formats. Your focus will be on developing primary packaging, while also improving secondary and tertiary materials and processes. You'll translate input from stakeholders like consumers, supply chain, procurement, and legislation into packaging that performs. If you know how to balance sustainability, costs, and consumer needs, and want to make a real impact across global brands, this is your opportunity to shape the future of dairy packaging!
What I ask for
- You have at least 8 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the food or FMCG industry;
- You take ownership, act decisively, and are always looking for opportunities to improve and innovate;
- You have a broad perspective and can connect your work to our purpose: Nourishing by Nature;
- You bring strong collaboration and communication skills, and enjoy translating complex needs into practical packaging solutions;
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Technical Engineering, or a related field;
- Preferred experience with Metal cans or Aerosols;
- Hands-on knowledge of key processing technologies and (aseptic) filling lines;
- Ability to translate material and process capabilities into optimized packaging solutions that meet functional, sustainability, and cost requirements;
- A driving license, to be able to travel on a regular basis to factories in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Through our agency, you will receive a 9 month temporary contract.
There is a possibility that your contract will be renewed after these 9 months or that our client will make you an offer of a contract; however, we are not able to guarantee this.
- Salary will be around €5500 - €6100 gross a month based on a full-time position (38 hours a week) and is based on education and experience;
- 30 annual leave days;
- Travel expenses will be covered;
- Pension plan.
