Operator – Roller Coating Line wood veneer

Do you love technology, color, and quality? As a technical operator in the rolling mill, you will apply the top layer of color and ensure that every order arrives at the customer in exactly the same shade. Independent work on modern machines, in a down-to-earth company.

You will be working at a manufacturing company in the wood processing industry, specializing in the high-quality finishing of sheet material for the interior and construction sectors. The finishing is the final step of the process: here it is determined whether a product meets the quality and color that the customer expects. Color consistency is crucial — a shade that deviates even slightly will immediately catch the customer's attention.

It is a down-to-earth, no-nonsense company with short lines of communication, few meetings, and a lot of personal responsibility on the work floor. You will have your own department and the freedom to set it up and keep it running in the way you think works best. The machines are modern and the technical aspect of the work is serious: you will adjust, modify, and perform minor maintenance yourself.

As a technical operator in the rolling department, you are responsible for finishing the top layer using modern sanding and sponge rolling machines. You mix colors and ensure a standard color for the customer. You run your department, keep it clean, manage inventory, and perform minor maintenance. The work is routine but varied due to different colors per order. During downtime, you assist in other departments.

• Operating the roller, sanding machines, and stacking machines
• Modifying machines and performing minor maintenance
• Mixing and applying colors for the top layer finishing
• Checking the quality
• Managing the inventory of consumables, such as stain and sandpaper
• Assisting in other departments, such as milling, gluing, and joining planks

• Experience in finishing top layers with rollers, for example in the wood or paper processing industry
• Sense of color: experience with mixing colors and knowledge of applying them
• Technical insight and experience with rebuilding and operating machines
• Proactive, independent work attitude and flexible when it comes to overtime
• Willingness to cooperate in other departments when necessary

• Gross hourly wage between €16.00 and €18.00, depending on your education and experience

• Overtime allowance in accordance with the Wood Processing Industry CAO, calculated over your base hourly wage

• 8% holiday allowance, paid weekly

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer

• Weekly salary payment

• 25 vacation days, plus ADV days in accordance with the CAO

• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pension base

• A 37.75-hour work week on day shift, with fixed hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• Regular opportunity for overtime
