Introductie

Do you enjoy technology, color, and quality work? As a technical operator on the roller coating line, you bring the top layer to color and make sure every order reaches the customer in exactly the same shade. Independent work on modern machines, in a down-to-earth company.

Waar je komt te werken:

You'll join a production company in the wood processing industry, specialized in the high-quality finishing of panel material for the interior and construction sector. Finishing is the final stage of the process: this is where it's decided whether a product meets the quality and the color the customer expects. Color consistency is the whole story here — a shade that's off by a fraction is noticed immediately.

It's a down-to-earth, no-nonsense company. Short lines of communication, little time spent in meetings, and a lot of personal responsibility on the floor. You get your own department and the freedom to organize and run it the way you think works best. The machines are modern and the technical side of the work is serious: you adjust, you convert, and you handle minor maintenance yourself.

The company is looking for someone who stays. Not a stepping stone, but someone who really masters the trade and the machines and stands even stronger in it a few years from now.

Wat je gaat doen:

As a technical operator on the roller coating line, you're responsible for finishing the top layer. You make sure the material is sanded to perfection with a modern sanding machine, then bring it to color using stain and sponge roller machines. Mixing colors is your craft: you have a feel for it, and you know the end product always has to arrive at the customer in the same standard shade.

You also run your department. You keep it clean and orderly, make sure stain, sanding paper, and other consumables are in stock, and accurately register the remaining batches of mixed colors. Converting machines and minor maintenance are part of the job, as is checking quality before material goes down the line.

The work has a steady rhythm and part of it is routine — that comes with a production line. What keeps it varied is the color: every order calls for a different shade and a different setup. When things are quiet in your department, you help out in other departments such as milling, gluing, and joining boards.
