As an experienced Trailer Mechanic, you work at a professional independent workshop in Veghel on the maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers, and semi-trailers of all brands. Versatile work, a fixed high hourly wage, and a structured 54 hours per week.
Waar je komt te werken:You will be working at a specialized and independent truck and trailer workshop in Veghel. The company performs maintenance, repairs, and inspections on trucks, trailers, and semi-trailers of all brands - from Scania and DAF to Volvo, Mercedes, and MAN. Not tied to a single dealer, but widely applicable for a diverse customer base ranging from small transporters to large fleet companies.
The workshop has five passages and works with specialized mechanics and a well-thought-out schedule. There is also a 24-hour breakdown service. It is an informal, professional environment where craftsmanship is valued and where you as a mechanic take direct responsibility.
Wat je gaat doen:As a Trailer Mechanic, you are responsible for independently diagnosing and resolving faults and defects in trailers and semi-trailers. You perform maintenance tasks and MOT inspections, change brake pads and discs, repair axles, suspension, and steering systems, and work on electrical systems such as ABS/EBS and lighting. Additionally, you carry out complete overhauls and are capable of resolving breakdowns on-site.
Welding is a strong asset - aluminum and MIG/MAG welding are common in the workshop. The workweek is structurally 54 hours, paid according to weekly remuneration as per the Motor Vehicle Industry Collective Labor Agreement.
Tasks:
- Performing periodic maintenance: changing oil, replacing filters, changing brake pads and discs
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults in axles, suspension, coupling, and brake systems
- Conducting electrical diagnoses on ABS/EBS, lighting, lift axle faults, and other electrical components
- Performing MOT inspections and complete overhauls
- Performing welding where necessary (aluminum or MIG/MAG)
- Proven work experience as a trailer mechanic, truck mechanic, or in a similar technical role
- Experience performing periodic maintenance — changing oil, replacing filters, changing brake pads and discs
- Knowledge of mechanical systems such as axles, suspension, clutch, and brake systems
- Familiarity with electrical diagnosis and faults in ABS/EBS and lighting is a plus
- Welding experience (aluminum or MIG/MAG) is a strong plus
- Willing to work structurally 54 hours per week
- Good command of the Dutch and/or English language
- Gross hourly wage of €17.00 - €18.50
- 54 hours per week
- A surcharge of 28.5% for the first two overtime hours per day and 47% surcharge for all hours thereafter (€21.85 - €23.77 per hour)
- Weekly payment
- 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per km
- Weekly payment
- 24 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
- Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable salary
