ULD builder

As a Freight Builder, you are responsible for safely, correctly, and efficiently building aircraft pallets and containers for international air cargo. You begin your shift with a handover from your colleagues, review the flight schedules, and determine the loading priorities. Throughout the day, you handle a wide variety of cargo, follow specific aircraft contours, secure shipments with nets and straps, and ensure all weight limits are respected. You close your workday by performing a final check on the completed pallets, updating the cargo documentation, and handing over the freight ready for transport to the aircraft.

In this Recruitment & Selection role, you will be employed directly by our client!

• Building aircraft pallets and containers independently with diverse types of air freight

• Constructing cargo loads according to specific aircraft types, contours, and safety instructions

• Handling special cargo, including outsized dimensions and centerload shipments

• Securing pallets and containers properly using nets, straps, and corner protectors

• Inspecting cargo for damages and reporting any irregularities directly in the system

• Checking weight, balance, and loading specifications before finalizing shipments

• Registering completed build-up data accurately in the warehouse management system

• Cooperating with colleagues and the warehouse team to ensure all flight schedules are met

• At least 3 months of hands-on experience with building aircraft pallets

• Good command of either the Dutch or English language

• Experience operating a forklift in an air cargo or warehouse environment

• Knowledge of contour requirements, weight distribution, and flight safety regulations

• Willingness to work in a continuous 24/7 shift pattern, including nights and weekends

• Accurate work attitude and the ability to work under time pressure

• Direct contract with our client

• Competitive salary based on experience, plus attractive shift allowances:

  • Monday to Saturday between 19:00 and 00:00: +27%

  • Monday to Saturday between 00:00 and 07:00: +40%

  • Saturday daytime between 07:00 and 19:00: +25%

  • Sunday all day: +40%
