As a Breeding Assistant, you will support both the Senior Breeder and Junior Breeder in the practical and operational execution of breeding activities. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day breeding operations by coordinating field activities, managing seed inventory, supporting warehouse processes, and ensuring effective communication between departments.
This is a hands-on position within an R&D environment where accuracy, organization, and teamwork are essential.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting breeding programs and technical field activities
- Assisting with operational breeding processes while following protocols and quality standards
- Managing seed extraction, packing, shipment, and inventory administration
- Monitoring stock levels of breeding equipment and consumables
- Coordinating purchases and ensuring availability of breeding materials
- Aligning breeding activities with operational planning on a weekly basis
- Supporting communication and coordination between R&D and operational departments
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring structured workflow processes

Wat wij vragen- MBO/HBO working and thinking level, preferably in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, Biology, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of plant breeding, seed handling, or agricultural processes is preferred
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Accurate and detail-oriented working style
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic operational and research environment
- Good command of the English language
- Driving license is a plus
