About the Role

As the Business Development Manager at GUM, you'll play a vital role in spearheading our corporate client acquisition efforts. Your responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams to strategize marketing campaigns, nurturing client relationships, and leveraging networking skills to identify and secure new business prospects. With a focus on meeting sales targets and providing mentorship to junior team members, you'll contribute to the overall success of our business development endeavors while aligning opportunities with our suite of corporate solutions, including pension, employee benefits, and group medical offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with our internal teams to strategize marketing campaigns for maximum sales potential and new client acquisition.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for cross-selling across various business segments.
  • Conduct professional meetings with potential clients, actively listening to their needs and offering innovative solutions.
  • Utilize your networking skills to identify new business prospects, deliver compelling sales pitches, and close deals.
  • Maintain proactive follow-up with leads, ensuring sales targets are met with passion and determination.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their growth and success in the field.
  • Coordinate with product and marketing teams to align business opportunities with our offerings, including pension, employee benefits, and group medical solutions for corporate clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our business development efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Holder of insurance and MPFA license is a plus
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience, less experience will also be considered as ASSISTANT Manager
  • Possess a strong sense of responsibility and leadership skills to embrace fast learning, pioneering and be able to work independently and act as a good team player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge in MPT, employee benefits, pension is a plus
  • Relevant industrial experience is a plus
