Attesa Coffee is a start-up specialty green coffee sourcing and distribution company headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We work directly with producers at the origin to bring our customers (specialty coffee roasters) high-quality coffees safely, on time, and consistently with the use of efficient digital frameworks. We believe in traceability through the chain and are highly committed to transparency towards all our stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Coffee Trader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the coffee market, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in coffee sales.

Tasks
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with coffee roasters in Europe with a focus on selling a wide range of green coffee offerings
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to expand our presence in the European coffee market.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with green beans roasters and customers.
  • Understand customer needs and liaise effectively with quality assurance and origin teams.
  • Participate actively in coffee selection and curation to ensure the highest quality offerings.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade exhibitions across Europe.
  • Sell coffee to roasters, traders, and institutional clients in key markets.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, pricing, and opportunities within the coffee sector.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, including regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Analyze trade performance and prepare reports for management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, or related field. A Master’s is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in green coffee sales / trading in European markets
  • Strong consultative sales skills and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of global coffee markets, pricing mechanisms, and trading platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and market signals.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English is required
  • 1 additional European language is a plus
  • Must be based in the EU and authorized to work in the EU
  • Open to travel
