For our Stoke on Trent, UK site we are looking for a:

HR Manager

Stoke-on-Trend, 37,5 hours per week.

Summary

Responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, HR service delivery, and ensuring full compliance with labor laws and global standards. This role has primary accountability for HR operations and service delivery in the Stoke on Trent, UK site, with additional responsibility supporting designated EMEA countries within the global HR operating model.
The HR Business Partner will oversee employee lifecycle processes, HR administration, payroll coordination, employee relations, compliance with UK labor law, and site level talent and engagement initiatives. This role also plays a key part in supporting manufacturing operations and change initiatives or site expansion activities. We are working in a matrix organization, reporting to the Sr. Global HRBP & HR operations, located in the US.

Job Description
  • Manage HR and site administration, including Workday HRIS data and employee files (regular and contingent).
  • Help administer monthly payroll and ensure compliance with statutory registration and tax requirements.
  • Act as the trusted HR advisor on labor law, policy enforcement, and disciplinary matters.
  • Lead all HR activities for facility setup, including policy development and statutory compliance for a manufacturing organization.
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, and induction for employees and contingent workers.
  • Ensure local compliance with all labor, safety, and employment regulations.
  • Support employee health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives in partnership with the site HSE team.
  • Plan and coordinate internal communication and employee engagement events.
  • Serve as the UK HR point of contact within the EMEA HR operating model.
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives across HR service delivery functions.
  • Monitor, interpret, and implement changes in labor laws and internal policies.
  • Assess local training and development needs and implement learning initiatives.
  • The work is carried out on site.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment or similar industrial experience.
  • 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of UK labor laws, payroll, and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience managing greenfield HR projects.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Workday preferred), Excel, and HR analytics.
