We are looking for a skilled Workplace / Cloud Engineer with project architecture experience to support a global FMCG organization located in the Utrecht region!
In this assignment, you will play an active role in the design and deployment of various technical migration scenarios. Are you ready to get started right away and contribute to a forward-thinking IT team? Then we'd love to hear from you!
This is a freelance assignment that will start immediately and last for 6 months.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Design, assess, and implement workplace architecture solutions based on Microsoft technologies and cloud principles;
- Drive the migration of existing environments to Microsoft 365 and Azure, tailoring strategies for different application types;
- Evaluate authentication protocols, including SAML/SSO, and assess their impact across the application landscape;
- Analyze and document the current setup of mail relay systems and propose improvements where needed;
- Review collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) to identify integration and migration considerations;
- Translate technical plans into actionable steps and coordinate execution with internal and external teams;
- Provide expert input during stakeholder sessions and ensure alignment between business needs and technical design;
- Oversee the transition process, proactively resolving issues and ensuring minimal disruption.
This assignment is located in Utrecht and will be 40 hours per week with a hybrid working arrangement. The (all-in) hourly rate for a ZZP/Freelancer will be around 115-120 EUR, depending on your experience and seniority.

Functie eisen
In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have:* 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams;
* In-depth expertise in Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), hybrid identity setups, and on-premises Active Directory;
* Solid understanding of infrastructure environments (both cloud and on-prem) and Azure architecture;
* Prior experience executing or supporting enterprise-scale IT migrations;
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical solutions effectively;
* Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus) and comfortable in agile project environments.
