Machine Operator, Crate Washing Machine

You think along, act proactively, and understand that a stationary machine means a stationary production line. As a Machine Operator on the crate washing machine, you are responsible for a smoothly running washing line in a large food processing environment. Technical insight, initiative, and the prospect of a permanent contract.

You will be working for one of the largest food processing companies in the Netherlands, located in the Ommel region. With approximately 800 employees, this is a stable and professional work environment where quality and efficiency are central.

The company processes chicken products into final products for the European market — no slaughtering, but processing and production. The processes are organized and clear daily schedules are used. For people who like structure and certainty, this is an ideal work environment.

The organization offers long-term work with prospects: after 12 months, there is the possibility of a direct contract with the client itself.

As a Machine Operator on the crate washer, you are responsible for operating and monitoring the washing system that cleans crates for reuse in production. You install and optimize the machine for production, resolve basic disturbances independently, and involve technical service when the issue becomes too complex.

This is not a purely executive role — you actively contribute to how the machine can perform optimally, reduce changeover times, and proactively identify and record deviations. You maintain quality documentation and keep your work environment clean and safe. On Saturdays, there is the possibility to work overtime.

Tasks:

• Setting up and optimizing the crate washer for production
• Resolving basic disturbances and escalating to technical service if necessary
• Monitoring the machine during production and identifying deviations
• Reducing the changeover time of the machine
• Maintaining quality documentation and reporting to the production manager
• Keeping the machine and immediate work environment clean

• Technical knowledge and the ability to analyze and address malfunctions
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset — think and act
• Accurate and reliable in maintaining records and documentation
• Willing to work overtime on Saturdays
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language

• Gross hourly wage of €17.65 + ADV-surcharge of 5.77%
• Overtime hours 41-42: 25% surcharge
• Overtime from hour 43: 50% surcharge
• 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
• Travel expenses reimbursement of €0.18 per km (max. €9.00 per day)
• Weekly payment
• 24 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable salary
• Minimum 40 hours per week, average 45 hours possible including Saturday
• Working hours: 06:00 - 15:00
• After 12 months, possibility of direct contract with the client
