We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician II to join our Uithoorn site.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for independently carrying out a wide range of mechanical maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the facility.
This role plays a key part in ensuring asset availability, preventing equipment failures, and supporting continuous improvement within the site’s operational performance.
TasksWhat will you do?
• Independently perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, modifications, and equipment expansions in line with established schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Carry out preventive maintenance rounds, including the periodic testing of safety installations such as boilers, compressors, and the sprinkler system.
• Maintain and inspect the full water treatment system (pumps, sewers, leveling tank, bio tank, flotation unit) and supervise external contractors when required.
• Conduct daily rounds through tank parks, cooling towers, and pump sets to detect leaks early and perform repairs when possible.
• Ensure accurate reporting of materials used, completed work, and equipment condition to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Use and maintain tools, cutting machinery, and equipment responsibly to avoid unnecessary wear or damage.
• Participate in the site’s consignment/on‑call service according to a set schedule.
• Support continuous skill development through on‑the‑job training, professional education, and internal/external technical programs.
• Supervise and coordinate external service providers performing onsite maintenance activities.
RequirementsWhat do we look for?
• Completed MBO-level technical education or equivalent, supplemented with professional training.
• Solid experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment.
• NEN 3140 VOP qualification (or willingness to obtain it).
• Preferably trained in electrical switching; willingness to train in boiler operations and water purification.
• Valid VCA diploma, and certifications for working with scaffolding, aerial work platforms, and forklift operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SOPs, and work orders.
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems and strong general computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Proficient Dutch language skills and basic English.
• Strong organizational abilities, problem‑solving mindset, and a proactive, safety-first approach.
