The position: Manufacturing Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Operations team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will continuously drive the optimization of production processes, focusing on quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You act as a key link within the engineering team, supporting the introduction of new products and processes to meet customer requirements. Alongside your daily work, you actively look for ways to improve our products and processes.
This is an onsite position at our Almere facility.
Primary responsibilities
- You lead and implement improvement initiatives to enhance production processes in quality and efficiency.
- You assess the manufacturability of new products using existing production processes.
- You manage the configuration of products and production processes in line with product and process specifications.
- You develop clear technical documentation and work instructions for the production team based on customer and product requirements.
- You take the lead in industrialization and qualification projects for new products, production processes, and equipment.
- You work closely with the Quality Department to implement APQP/PPAP tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC to further improve production quality.
- You collaborate with the Quality Department during new product introductions, including delivering First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
- You support the production team with technical questions and troubleshooting.
Your qualifications
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, aerospace technology, mechanical engineering, or another related field.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a production environment in a similar role.
- You have proven experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- You have strong analytical skills and can interpret technical data.
- You are proficient in both the Dutch and English language, written and spoken.
