🥜 In a nutshell

As part of the Communications & Engagement Team, you contribute to an engaging and inspiring work environment in which our ever-growing team of 10,000+ employees and 500+ team leads can get the best out of themselves. You create communication for strategic change projects and drive our internal communication calendar around Picnic’s mission and values. Together with your colleagues from the International Communications & Engagement team, you will work to realise our mission: to be the best place to work for our employees!

🎯 What you’ll do

Ensure employees know how to contribute to the company goals and feel sufficiently informed:

  • Create communication material for strategic communication, from storytelling around Picnic’s values to personal communication (e.g. wage updates)
  • Create engaging awareness campaigns to support business goals (e.g. increase safety awareness in our operational workspace, value the importance and contribution of local leadership)
  • Create content for our periodic news sharing (e.g. via newsletters) to all employees

Drive employee satisfaction by increasing the effectiveness of our internal communication:

  • Tailor our communication to the different target audiences, create and maintain a clear tone-of-voice across our communication
  • Improve the effectiveness of our communication channels towards employees (Slack, newsletters, print, work app)
  • Partner with business stakeholders and maintain a feedback loop with employees, to understand and meet their needs
⭐ About you
  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Communication, Communication Sciences, Journalism or a similar
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience in the field of internal communication and/or copywriting
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (basic knowledge of French and/or German would be a plus)
  • Creative strength: you can package ideas and topics both textually and verbally in an understandable and target group-specific way, you're a strong copywriter
  • Organisational skills: you work in an organised way, push timelines even when working across departments, you coordinate communication channels
  • Journalism mindset: you have the ability to create news, you can engage and delight people with written communication
