- Lead the business planning and forecast. Drive definition of the product roadmap. Define Product Strategy and Positioning
- Understand the global lighting market and forecast and understand trends. Explore the market with respect to business opportunities and market direction, drive new product and marketing strategies based on this market research, customer requirements and competitor analysis.
- Identify sales opportunity for the product portfolio and identify related risks. Manage the relationship with external suppliers and service companies. Define the pricing policy.
- Drive a structured design-in process with sales partners. Provide strong sales support in contract negotiations. Provide interface between product design team and customers.
- Establish and maintain contacts on all levels in the value chain and select major accounts that influence product roadmaps.
- Launch the products in relevant regions. Create and maintain product (launch) presentation material and press contacts. Track progress on targeted markets.
- Promote the product in relevant regions. Develop & execute customer/product focused marketing and key account penetration plans. Create press announcements & backgrounders
- Work with Sales & Marketing teams to regularly monitor price and competitive position

Functie eisen

- Candidate is an ambitious leader, an entrepreneur with strong analytical skills and prepared to frequently travel throughout the world.
- Candidate has a good technical background (BS/MS, preferably in EE) with minimum of 5 years of development work, and has a good commercial background with proven experience in dealing with customers in a pre-sales process
- Good quantitative skills and technical understanding of LED driver solutions.
- Familiarity with the global Lighting markets
- Preferably candidate has experience in multi-party (3rd party) project management and 3rd party contract negotiations.
- Candidate has excellent interpersonal skills and is a flexible team player.
- Candidate communicates fluently in English.
