As part of the engineering team, you'll steer a small number of subcontractors, which prepare the Basic and Detail Engineering Package.
As a (Senior) Engineer Shipbuilding, you are able to work in different fields of your expertise, yet are open to developing beyond. You're responsible for the development of the Basic Engineering Package, including Class and Client Approvals, managing Detail Engineering partners, and production support with the entire team.
Tasks- Developing design and work drawings adhering to procedure and standards;
- Recording and organizing designs, drawings, and project information;
- Undertaking structural designs, incorporating steel outfitting and structures;
- Creating construction plans, including deck arrangements;
- Conducting calculations;
- Analyzing feasibility and risks in initial designs;
- Generating order lists and technical specifications for purchases;
- Coordinating outsourced work with subcontractors
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Engineering, Shipbuilding, or similar fields;
- Have 1 or 2 years of relevant working experience;
- Have experience with software packages like AutoCAD, Rhino, and Nupas-Cadmatic; experience with Maxsurf or Siemens NX is a pre;
- Are a team player;
- Are effective at planning and organizing
- Have a good command of the English language
- Excellent primary and secondary working conditions
