All-round Maintenance Technician

Technically minded and eager to develop into an all-round maintenance technician? You'll learn to solve breakdowns, keep machines running and contribute ideas for improvements. You work day shifts, in a varied role where you grow step by step towards working independently.

You will be working for an international manufacturer of packaging. The site in Breda produces packaging for a wide range of customers, with a modern machine park and a strong focus on safety and continuity. The atmosphere is informal and open. Colleagues support each other, and you have direct lines with production and the technical department.

Downtime costs money, which is why a strong technical team is essential here. You help keep production running, and you get the space to bring in ideas that make the installations more reliable and efficient. During your onboarding period you receive thorough guidance and training, so you get to know the machines quickly. Even if you're just starting out in your technical career.

As an all-round maintenance technician, you work with the technical department to keep the production machines and installations in top condition. You work with both electrical and mechanical systems, and carry out reactive and preventive maintenance.

When a machine goes down, you find the cause and fix the problem. At first you'll do this together with experienced colleagues, and increasingly on your own. You also carry out planned maintenance on machines and buildings to prevent breakdowns. You learn to spot technical bottlenecks before they become problems, and you contribute ideas for improving technology and production.

You work closely with the operators and your colleagues in the technical department. You work day shifts from 08:30 to 17:00. Safety and a clean, hygienic workplace come naturally to you.

Your tasks:

• Resolving breakdowns of machines and installations
• Maintaining the control systems of machines and installations
• Carrying out preventive maintenance on production machines and buildings
• Identifying technical bottlenecks and proposing solutions
• Contributing to the optimisation of technology and production
• Ensuring a safe and hygienic workplace

• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering
• Experience in a technical role or production environment is a plus, not a must
• You're eager to learn and want to grow towards solving breakdowns independently
• You work in a structured way and keep an overview
• You work safely and accurately
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• In possession of an EU passport — a residence permit is not sufficient

• Gross hourly wage between €17.00 and €18.00, depending on experience

• 8% holiday allowance, paid weekly

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km

• Weekly salary payment

• 25 holiday days

• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable salary

• 40-hour working week, day shift from 08:30 to 17:00
