Responsibilities:
• Define and own the overall Azure cloud architecture strategy, roadmap, and target-state design
• Architect enterprise-scale, highly available, and resilient solutions across compute, networking, storage, and data services
• Lead design of Azure Landing Zones, hub-spoke topologies, and multi-region/multi-subscription architectures
• Provide architectural guidance for application modernization, containerization (AKS), and microservices adoption
• Design cloud security architecture in collaboration with security teams: identity, network segmentation, encryption, Zero Trust principles
• Establish architectural governance: design standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns
• Lead cloud migration strategy and roadmap (lift-and-shift, replatform, refactor) from on-prem or other clouds to Azure
• Evaluate and recommend Azure services, third-party tools, and emerging technologies to meet business needs
• Own disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability architecture design
• Partner with FinOps/finance teams to design cost-optimized, well-architected cloud solutions
• Act as a technical advisor to senior leadership, translating business requirements into cloud architecture decisions
• Guide and mentor DevOps, platform, and security engineering teams on architectural best practices
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and decision records (ADRs)
• Stay current with Azure roadmap and emerging cloud-native technologies to inform strategy

Functie eisen
• Deep expertise across Azure services: Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity, Databases, and Integration services• Strong experience designing Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale architecture frameworks
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) at an architectural/governance level
• Strong knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), microservices, and containerized application design
• Deep understanding of cloud security architecture, Zero Trust, and identity federation (Entra ID)
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architecture patterns (Azure Arc, ExpressRoute, VPN)
• Strong grasp of the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework and its five pillars
• Experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices and how they integrate into architectural design
• Understanding of cost optimization/FinOps principles for cloud architecture
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and executive communication skills
• Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional technical teams
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a pragmatic, business-outcome focus
