Electrical Service Technician

Keeping electrical installations aboard inland vessels fault-free, expanding them, or building them from scratch — you make sure everything keeps running. As an Electrical Service Technician, you work with advanced technical equipment and advise customers on maintenance and use. Hands-on technical work with plenty of variety.

You'll join a specialized technical service company in the maritime sector, focused on electrical installations and solutions for shipping. The company works both on board vessels on location and in its own workshops, serving customers in the Netherlands and abroad. Technology is at the core of everything: from fault diagnosis to installing complete systems. As an Electrical Service Technician, you're responsible for resolving faults in electrical installations aboard inland vessels. You build complete installations or expand existing ones, working with advanced technical equipment. You'll work on location at the customer's site, on board, or in the workshop — variety is part of every working day. You're also the customer's point of contact for advice on the use and maintenance of motors and installations. You work both independently and as part of a team, and travel regularly to different locations in the Netherlands and abroad. Precision and craftsmanship are central to everything you do.

• Resolving faults in electrical installations
• Installing complete systems or expansions
• Working with advanced technical equipment on board
• Advising customers on use and maintenance
• Working on location, including abroad
• Collaborating with fellow technicians and solving problems independently

• Technical background and affinity with electrical engineering
• Service-oriented, customer-friendly attitude and an independent work ethic
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel, including evenings and weekends
• Experience with electrical installations on board vessels is a plus

• €18-20 gross per hour, depending on experience

• 8% holiday allowance, paid weekly

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer

• Weekly salary payment

• 24 vacation days per year

• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pension base

• Full-time position of 38 hours per week, with variable shifts (including evenings and weekends)
