Empty Handler Driver, MAASVLAKTE 2 ROTTERDAM

We are hiring an Empty Handler Driver in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte 2) for the STAR depot, part of Maersk, a global leader in transport and logistics.

As an Empty Handler Driver, you are responsible for:

• Moving empty containers within the depot
• Supporting loading and unloading operations
• Ensuring safe and efficient container handling
• Working according to logistics procedures and safety regulations

You will work in a dynamic port logistics environment where teamwork, safety, and efficiency are key.

• Salary starting from 18.18 gross per hour (no experience required)
• Up to 20.65 gross per hour with experience
• 14% shift allowance on every hour worked
• 0.23 per km travel allowance
• Full-time work (32-40 hours per week)
• Two-shift schedule:
• 05:45 - 14:00
• 13:45 - 22:00
• Contract via Adecco
• 25 vacation days + 8.33% holiday allowance
• Pension accrual from day one

You will work at the STAR depot (Maersk) located at Maasvlakte 2 in the Port of Rotterdam.

Please note: the location is not accessible by public transport, so own transport (car) is required.

• Experience with container equipment or heavy machinery is a plus
• No experience? Training opportunities available
• Knowledge of container handling and safety procedures is preferred
• Good command of English or Dutch
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors
• Strong attention to safety and accuracy
• VCA Basic certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)
• Own transportation (car) is required
