Forklift Mechanic

You know how a forklift works — from battery to hydraulics. As a Forklift Mechanic, you ensure that our customers' machines keep running. Hands-on work, varied assignments, and a stable workplace for the long term.

You will be working at a specialized company in Budel that has been the specialist in the field of internal company transport for over 35 years. The company sells, rents, and maintains a wide range of forklifts and internal transport equipment — from electric forklifts to diesel and LPG versions, cherry pickers, stackers, and sweepers.

As a Forklift Mechanic, you are responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of forklifts. The fleet primarily consists of electric forklifts, but gas and diesel models are also part of the work package. You will work from the workshop in Budel and serve customers in the region.

The work is varied: periodic maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and inspections. You work independently and are quick to adapt. If you are an automotive mechanic or have experience with similar machines, you are also welcome — you can further develop your specific forklift specialization on the job.

Tasks:

• Performing periodic maintenance and inspections of forklifts
• Diagnosing and resolving malfunctions and defects
• Performing repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Conducting VA inspections and safety inspections
• Recording performed work and findings
• Collaborating with colleagues and advising customers on technical questions

• Experience as a mechanic on forklifts or similar machines (e.g. automotive mechanic)
• Technical understanding of electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic systems
• Independent and precise work attitude
• Willing to specialize in forklift technology if not already present
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language (oral and written)

Financial conditions:

• Gross hourly wage of €18.00 - €22.00
• 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km

Other conditions:

• Weekly payment
• 25 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable salary
• Minimum 40 hours per week, overtime possible (up to 50 hours in consultation)
