We're seeking an Interim Art Director to join our expanding Marketing team during a pivotal moment. You’ll set the creative vision for our rapidly growing brands PME Legend (#1 premium menswear brand in NL, #3 in DE), Vanguard (#2 in NL) and Cast Iron (#3 in NL), lead our international shoots and head up our in-house studio. This isn't about keeping the seat warm, we’re looking for someone who'll push our creative storytelling forward without breaking what works. You'll safeguard our brand consistency while introducing fresh narrative techniques and collaborative methods that enhance how we connect with our audiences.

Your Impact
Brand Storytelling Evolution; Explore new narrative frameworks that deepen our brand stories while respecting established identity markers. Experiment with content formats and visual languages that feel fresh yet authentically connected to our core values. Guide the team in testing new approaches while maintaining customer trust.
Creative Leadership; Foster an environment where team members contribute freely and experiment with different working methods. Introduce collaborative techniques through design sprints, cross-functional workshops, and new feedback mechanisms. Inspire the team to see this interim period as a creative opportunity.
Strategic Brand Guardian; Serve as the ultimate protector of brand consistency while encouraging exploration. Develop frameworks that allow creative freedom within defined parameters, ensuring innovation enhances rather than dilutes brand equity.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop evolutionary creative concepts that push boundaries incrementally while maintaining brand recognition
· Create "safe to fail" pilot projects for controlled experimentation with new formats and channels
· Coach the Creative Studio in balancing creative ambition with brand discipline
· Partner with Marketing to identify storytelling opportunities based on performance data and market insights
· Document successful experiments for potential permanent adoption
· Introduce and test alternative creative processes and workflows that could enhance team productivity and output quality
· Manage external partners who bring fresh perspectives without compromising standards

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience:
· 5+ years in senior creative roles evolving established brands without losing their essence
· Portfolio demonstrating respect for brand heritage alongside successful creative innovation
· Track record of introducing new methodologies in traditional environments
· Experience maintaining brand consistency during periods of change or experimentation

Critical Mindset:
· Evolution over revolution – sustainable change happens incrementally
· Brand guidelines as creative springboards, not limitations
· Comfortable navigating the tension between consistency and innovation
· Being interim doesn't mean being temporary in impact

Technical & Soft Skills:
· Expertise in contemporary design tools and emerging creative technologies
· Data-informed creativity approach
· Champion AI-augmented workflows for rapid prototyping while keeping human creativity central
· Experience with crafting international campaigns (pan-european)
· Strong facilitation skills for leading exploratory workshops
· Menswear / fashion experience preferred
