We are Tong Fong, a world/Chinese/Indian restaurant located in Soest, and we are looking for an Independent Chef to strengthen our kitchen team. Do you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment? Then you might be the perfect fit for us! You will assist in preparing dishes and work closely with our kitchen team in a professional and organized setting.
Tasks- Selecting and preparing ingredients (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.)
- Performing quality checks during preparation (doneness, taste, color) and adjusting where necessary
- Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene standards
- Supervising kitchen assistants and correcting where needed
- Managing inventory, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries
- Cleaning the workspace, kitchen equipment, and stations daily
- Reporting technical issues and resolving minor malfunctions
- Contributing ideas for menu composition, updates, and preparation methods
- Ability to work independently and take initiative with a problem-solving mindset
- Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork
- MBO-3 level of thinking/working (if you don’t fully meet this, you are still encouraged to apply)
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Professional and friendly working environment
- Proper guidance during the onboarding period

- Gross salary: €2,750 – €3,250 per month
