Independent Working Chef

We are a Japanese restaurant and are looking for an Independent Working Chef I to strengthen our kitchen team. Do you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment? Then you would be a perfect fit for us! You will assist in preparing dishes and work closely with our kitchen team. You are able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and you feel responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Our restaurant is located at address Raadhuisplein 8.

- Gross salary: €2,750 to €3,250

- Selecting and preparing ingredients (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.)
- Performing intermediate quality checks (doneness, taste, color, etc.) and making adjustments where necessary
- Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene
- Supervising assistants and correcting them where needed
- Managing inventory, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries
- Daily cleaning of the working environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations
- Reporting technical defects and resolving simple malfunctions
- Providing input regarding menu composition, menu changes, and preparation methods

- You take initiative independently and work in a solution-oriented way
- You work confidently and take responsibility
- MBO-3 level of working/thinking (Even if you do not fully meet the requirements, feel free to apply!)
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
