About the job

We are looking for a Marine Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing marine support to our FPSOs and base personnel. You will foster a collaborative environment, working closely with Asset Managers and project teams to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:
You set, develop and maintain the corporate marine policies and manuals. You analyse marine problems on offshore installations and advise offshore and base personnel where required. Also, you provide operational input to tenders and projects, and you are involved in the design and development of future F(P)SO's. You monitor changes in maritime regulations, guidelines and industry standards and promote and stimulate their adoption in Bluewater, including any marine improvements being developed by Bluewater. When required you assist/work in rota offshore on-board F(P)SO's to back-up regular offshore staff. You'll report to the Department Head, Marine & Subsea Support, and work closely with colleagues across the business to support Bluewater's goals.

Requirements

We are seeking a proactive, analytical and persuasive Marine Superintendent with strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own work efficiently. Furthermore:

- you have a Bachelor's degree as Nautical Officer or equivalent
- Master's certificate of competency is preferred
- Tanker endorsement to Certificate of Competency
- 5-10 years of work experience with crude oil tankers and/or F(P)SO operations
- you must have a DPO certificate
- Experience on Subsea Support vessels and Anchor Handlers
- COW experience
- The flexibility and willingness to travel (onshore and offshore) as needed
- Fluent in English and Dutch (preferred)
