As a Piping Engineer, you are responsible for delivering high-quality engineering output across the full scope of piping work, ensuring alignment with project specifications, budgets, and schedules. You report to the Lead (Project) Engineer, providing updates on progress, challenges, and risks. Timely responses to interdisciplinary reviews, client and vendor queries, and certifying authority requests are essential.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing basic and detailed designs for process piping on FPSOs and SPM systems
  • Preparing specifications for piping materials, valves, and special items
  • Engaging with vendors and reviewing technical documentation
  • Participating in HAZID sessions and supporting client and third-party approvals
  • Reviewing fabrication and construction drawings and addressing site queries
  • Identifying technical risks and reporting achievements and concerns to your Section Head
Requirements

We are looking for a good communicator with a pro-active attitude, able to work independently and striving for high quality results.

Furthermore you have:

  • Bachelor's or Technical College degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in piping materials engineering
  • Strong knowledge of piping materials, equipment, and pipe stress analysis, with a solid understanding of piping design
  • Experience working within the oil & gas sector, either with operating companies or engineering contractors
  • Familiarity with international design codes and standards
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Hands-on experience with piping materials engineering during both the basic and detailed design phases of projects
