Pre-processor / MIG MAG Welder

You prefer working with large materials and know how to operate a saw and a welding machine. As a Preprocessor, you are the link that ensures smooth production — from cutting heavy steel pipes to size to preparing materials for welding. Hands-on work in a specialized environment.

You will be working at a specialized construction company in Zeeland that focuses on the production of steel foundation piles and sheet pile structures for the construction, civil engineering, and hydraulic engineering sectors. The company has been active since 1990 and has developed into a leading player in the field of pipe piles and combi piles.

The workshop covers more than 1,200 m2 and is equipped with modern machines for cutting, welding, and construction work. Heavy steel pipes up to 35 meters in length are used - not a standard production environment, but an environment for professionals who love big and tough work.

It is a stable company with a loyal team where quality, safety, and craftsmanship are central.

As a Preprocessor, you are responsible for the complete preparation of steel pipes and components for the construction of foundation piles. You cut pipes to size, apply bevels, smooth cut surfaces, and ensure the material is clean and ready for the next production step. You work accurately, measure, and mark where necessary.

A smaller but important part of your duties involves MIG MAG welding. You do not need to be a certified welder, but basic knowledge of MIG MAG welding is a requirement. A certificate is a plus.

You work with heavy materials and overhead cranes in a large industrial hall. Precision and safety are paramount.

Tasks:

• Cutting steel pipes to size and marking materials
• Applying bevels and grinding and deburring cut surfaces
• Blasting and cleaning material in preparation for welding
• Drilling holes in construction parts where necessary
• Performing MIG MAG welding as part of the production process
• Supplying materials from storage and working with cranes and hoists

• Technical work experience in a metal company
• Knowledge of MIG MAG welding on steel — a welding certificate is a bonus but not a requirement
• Sense for working with large and heavy materials
• Meticulous work attitude with attention to quality and safety
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language (verbal and written)

Financial conditions:

• Gross hourly wage of €17.00 - €20.00
• 5% ADV allowance on the first 40 hours
• 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km

Other conditions:

• Weekly payment
• 24 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pension basis
• Minimum 40 hours per week
