Quality Assurance Engineer | Manage the Supplier

The team consists of specialists in welding, turning, coating and assembly. The atmosphere is informal, the lines are short, and they celebrate successes together. You report to the Manager Manufacturing Operations and work closely with 7 other Supervisors and an Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to keep the factory running optimally.

We're looking for someone to proactively manage the performance of the key product suppliers of our client - Vanderlande. 
In this impactful role, you won't just react to issues; you'll actively follow up on non-conforming products and define strategic actions to elevate supplier performance. What's more, you'll be challenged to innovate by defining new KPIs that truly measure and drive the quality performance of our suppliers. Responsibilities:

• Follow up on complaints together with the supplier
• Monitor supplier performance based on KPI’s
• Observe trends in supplier performance
• Define improvement actions to improve supplier performance
• Define new methods to get better insights in the quality performance

• Background in a relevant field of study (e.g. Industrial-, Mechanical- or Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management)
• Experience in managing suppliers on their quality performances
• Experience with International Management System Standards (E.g. ISO 9001/NEN-EN1090).
• Preferable experience with lean six sigma principles, methods and tools (control plan, FMEA, A3, MSA, Capability studies, etc.).

Terms of employment

It concerns a secondment agreement at Vanderlande via Yacht for one year, with possibility of extension; for 40 hours per week (working on site).

We offer a competitive package of employment conditions according to the seniority of the position (salary between €4300 - €5900 - gross per period of 4 weeks, based on 40 h per week).
