Simulation Specialist

Job mission:

As a flow and particle tracking specialist, your mission is to lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge computational models to simulate fluid flow dynamics and particle tracking in complex systems. Your expertise will drive innovation in our products and processes, enabling us to optimize performance, and enhance efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems, provide valuable insights, and deliver solutions that meet our customers’ need. Your work will contribute to the advancement of technology and the achievement of our company’s strategic objectives.

Your activities and responsibilities:

You will be at the forefront of translating complex problems regarding flow and particle tracking physics into simple and scalable models. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement cutting edge computational models that simulate fluid flow dynamics and particle behaviour in intricate systems. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in our company’s strategic direction, as the control of particle contamination stands as one of the key drivers for our future products. Your simulations will directly influence design decisions concerning defectivity, ensuring that our products maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability.

 Your daily tasks will include:

• Set up and expand particle tracking simulations both in the continuum flow as in the rarefied gas regime
• Closely collaborate with engineers that will validate your models and iterate together to solve our challenges
• Generate system design requirements based on your simulations
• Ability to capture the essence of complex flow fluid problems into simple simulations
• Expanding our collaboration with universities working on state of the art rarefied gas flow algorithms such as DSMC solvers
• Report the study, design and other outcomes in specific documentation

Your profile:

• Master or PhD in Physics, Aerospace Engineering or similar
• You are an expert in flow simulations and all facets of particle tracking and you have at least 3 years of experience in simulation work for the high-tech industry
• You have the ability to lead several teams on strategic design implementations supported by your simulations
• You have a large experience with CFD simulations in ANSYS
• Affinity with thermal simulations

• Good communication skills and proficient in English and preferably in Dutch
