Technical service employee

An international fashion retailer with around 200 stores and approximately 2,500 employees operates across several European countries. Both the European Distribution Centre (EDC) and the head office (HQ) are located in Utrecht.

The company follows a vertically integrated organizational model, meaning that all key activities—such as designing collections, sourcing materials, and managing retail operations—are handled internally. The EDC plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods to the stores, using a combination of in-house logistics and external transport partners.

To support the smooth and continuous operation of the distribution centre, we are currently looking for a Technical Services who will help maintain equipment, resolve technical issues, and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.

In this role, you will:

• Act as an all-round technical specialist within the European Distribution Centre.
• Perform technical and facility-related maintenance to keep equipment and machinery running smoothly.
• Carry out tasks such as soldering, welding, repairing and replacing electronic components, and solving various technical issues.
• Use Excel to create inspection reports and maintain accurate overviews of all materials and equipment requiring certification.
• Coordinate with external service providers, guiding third-party technicians during on-site work.
• Ensure smooth collaboration and monitor the quality of work delivered by external partners.
• Handle both planned maintenance tasks and ad-hoc technical issues as they occur.
• Work independently, taking a proactive and flexible approach to identifying and resolving problems efficiently and effectively.

• You are able to independently and safely carry out technical maintenance and troubleshoot issues, supported by knowledge in fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline.
• You can accurately process data and prepare clear reports in Excel.
• You communicate effectively in both Dutch and English, enabling smooth cooperation in an international work environment.
• You are adaptable, respond well to unexpected situations, and take initiative to introduce improvements.
• You are motivated to grow, further develop your skills, and contribute to the development of the team.
