Tree worker

We are looking for a motivated Tree Worker to join a professional tree nursery in Lienden. In this role, you will support daily nursery operations and help cultivate high-quality trees and shrubs.

The work varies throughout the year depending on the season and stage of plant growth. You will be involved in planting, maintaining, harvesting, and preparing trees and plants for customers. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work and likes working with plants and nature. You will become part of a small and friendly team where craftsmanship, teamwork, and plant quality are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Plant cultivation and care

• Planting, potting, and transplanting young trees and shrubs
• Pruning, shaping, and tying trees during growth
• Watering and fertilizing plants
• Controlling weeds in fields and container areas
• Monitoring plant health and reporting diseases or pests

Harvesting and order preparation

• Harvesting trees and shrubs
• Sorting, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment
• Loading and unloading plants and materials
• Preparing products for transport

Site and equipment maintenance

• Maintaining tools, irrigation systems, and nursery equipment
• Assisting with the upkeep of fields, drainage systems, and pathways
• Keeping the nursery clean and organized

General support

• Supporting daily nursery activities
• Assisting with stock management and basic administrative tasks
• Occasionally helping customers and visitors

You will work in a professional tree nursery where every season brings different tasks and responsibilities.

Seasonal activities

Winter / Early Spring: Pruning trees, Harvesting plants, Planting and preparing orders for shipment

Spring / Summer: Watering plants, Shaping and maintaining trees, Weed and pest control

Autumn: Planting new cultivation cycles, Preparing fields and plants for the next season, Supporting seasonal sales activities

• A bruto hourly wage of 14.71
• Full-time employment with stable daytime hours
• Accommodation available for 142.60 a week
