All-Around Metalworker

You prefer to work with your hands on metal parts that are perfectly accurate - from size to finish. As a Metal Worker, you work in a modern metal factory on various operations in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Precise, versatile, and different every day.

You will be working at a specialized metalworking company in Bergen op Zoom with over 50 years of experience in the sector. The company produces exclusively custom work for clients in various industries and is among the top 3 in the Netherlands and top 10 in Europe in the field of sheet metal processing.

The factory is high-tech equipped with modern laser machines, press brakes, welding robots, and laser welding robots. With approximately 125 employees, it is a medium-sized family business with short lines of communication and an informal culture. There is a strong focus on personal development - training and courses are actively offered.

As a Bench Worker, you will work in the benchwork department on the precise machining of metal parts in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum - from simple semi-finished products to complex assemblies. You operate machines and process products according to technical drawings. Your tasks include filing, drilling, tapping, and punching - so that each part has the exact dimensions and is ready for assembly or the next processing step.

You will work together with the cooperating foreman and approximately nine colleagues. Once you are fully trained, you can also be deployed in the adjacent PEM, spot, and pin welding department - which makes the position extra versatile.

Tasks:

• Filing, drilling, tapping, and punching of metal parts according to technical drawings
• Checking dimensions and finish of machined parts
• Operating machines in the benchwork department
• Collaborating with colleagues from adjacent departments
• Eventually assisting in the PEM, spot, and pin welding department
• Identifying and reporting deviations in quality or dimensions

• Technical work experience in metalworking or a similar environment
• Able to read technical drawings — willingness to learn this is also welcome
• Accurate and versatile work attitude
• Independent but also strong in teamwork
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language

• Gross hourly wage of €16.17 - €20.97 (indication based on experience)
• 5% extra ADV surcharge on the first 40 hours
• 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
• Travel expenses reimbursement of €0.23 per km
• Weekly payment
• 25 vacation days (based on full-time)
• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable salary
• Minimum 40 hours per week
• Working hours: day shift, Friday until 14:30
