Informatie

Here, you won't be working on predictable, routine maintenance. Every day is different, and together with your team, you deliver mechanical custom work on winches for fishing vessels, tugboats and dredgers. This calls for craftsmanship, overview and courage. At DMG Holland, you carry out work where your expertise has an immediate impact. No standard maintenance rounds, but assignments that require you to think ahead, take action and work safely. In a close-knit team, you get plenty of independence, responsibility and the opportunity to grow into a team leader role over time. Read on and apply.

As a Technician at DMG Holland, you work on the maintenance, repair and inspection of winches on board ships. Without your technical insight, a vessel stays out of service longer than necessary. You make sure faults are identified quickly, components are safely removed from the vessel and the installation performs as it should again.

You won't be doing predictable, recurring maintenance. One job may involve diagnostics on board, while the next requires mechanical repair work in the workshop. You read technical drawings, think along on the smartest approach and always take onboard safety into account.

To carry out this role well, you'll focus on:

  • Diagnosing faults in winches, cranes and other mechanical components on board.
  • Dismantling components and determining how to remove them safely from the vessel.
  • Cleaning, repairing and overhauling components in the workshop in IJmuiden.
  • Reinstalling, testing and checking repaired components on location.
  • Contributing practical solutions when a job turns out differently than expected.
