Commissioning Engineer

 Roles and Responsibilities

• Join a dynamic team of ~30 passionate colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate in the realization phase of projects, solving technical issues.
• Report project progress to the Project Manager.
• Draft and review technical documentation.
• Configure and test hardware systems.
• Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) by guiding clients through systems and addressing their questions.
• Serve as the lead engineer on-site during the commissioning phase.
• Manage all commissioning activities and ensure successful Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Contribute to building future-proof energy systems.

Additionally, you’ll play a key role in the service and maintenance of protection and substation automation systems.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience

• Familiarity with Siemens products and solutions such as SIPROTEC, SICAM A8000, SICAM SCC, Ruggedcom, and configuration/test tools like DIGSI 5, Device Manager, SICAM PTS, OMICRON Test Universe, etc.

• Knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC 101, 104, 61850, Profinet, Modbus, and network topologies like RSTP, HSR, or PRP is a plus

• Applied knowledge of Cyber Security in substation automation

• Proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken

• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally and be away from home for extended periods

• Based in the Randstad region due to project and testing work at our Zoetermeer location

• Willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
