Bij The Landrovers bouwen we geen standaard Defenders. We bouwen dromen, avonturen en blijvende herinneringen. Iedere build begint met een visie, maar pas tijdens het configuratieproces krijgt die visie echt vorm.

Als Configuration Manager zorg jij ervoor dat dit proces soepel verloopt. Je begeleidt klanten bij het maken en vastleggen van keuzes, bewaakt de voortgang van de configuratiefase en zorgt ervoor dat alle specificaties volledig en correct zijn voordat de Defender de productie ingaat.

Je bent het vaste aanspreekpunt voor de klant en weet precies wanneer iemand behoefte heeft aan advies, extra uitleg of juist een zetje richting een beslissing. Je werkt nauw samen met de Project Director. Waar jij verantwoordelijk bent voor het configuratieproces en de klantbegeleiding, bewaakt de Project Director de technische uitvoering, kwaliteit en voortgang van de build.

Met gevoel voor design, oog voor detail en een gestructureerde aanpak zorg jij voor een premium klantbeleving én een vlekkeloze overdracht naar productie.

The Landrovers is een innovatief snelgroeiend bedrijf en gespecialiseerd in de restauratie en customisatie van de Land Rover Defender. We bouwen de Defender helemaal vanaf het chassis weer op waarbij we de grenzen opzoeken van techniek en design. We zijn een jong en dynamisch team met een goede combinatie tussen een professionele en informele sfeer. Wij zijn een gedreven team dat elke auto zo mooi mogelijk bij de klant af wil leveren. Elke auto word naar de wensen van de klant vorm gegeven, waardoor iedere Defender anders is en jouw werkdag nooit hetzelfde! Onze unieke Defenders rijden over de hele wereld rond. Zowel gemotoriseerd, met een dikke v8, als de ‘in-house’ ontwikkelde elektrische high performance Defender.

Vanaf het moment dat de visie voor een Defender is bepaald, neem jij het configuratieproces onder je hoede. Jij zorgt ervoor dat klanten stap voor stap door alle keuzes worden begeleid en dat geen enkel detail verloren gaat.

• Je houdt overzicht over meerdere projecten tegelijk en weet precies welke keuzes nog openstaan, welke informatie nodig is en wanneer actie vereist is om de planning te bewaken.
• Je begeleidt klanten tijdens het volledige configuratieproces.
• Je bewaakt de voortgang en zorgt dat alle keuzes tijdig worden vastgelegd.
• Je vertaalt klantwensen naar complete en foutloze productspecificaties.
• Je adviseert over materialen, kleuren, afwerkingen en opties in samenwerking met de Project Director.
• Je onderhoudt professionele en persoonlijke communicatie met klanten, voornamelijk per e-mail.
• Je stemt continu af met de betrokken afdelingen.
• Je signaleert knelpunten en zorgt ervoor dat ontbrekende keuzes de planning nooit in gevaar brengen.
• Je stelt Design Boxes samen en denkt mee over de verdere ontwikkeling hiervan.

Iemand met:

• Een afgeronde opleiding, bijvoorbeeld in Interior Design, Product Design, Interieurarchitectuur of een vergelijkbare richting.
• Bij voorkeur 3 tot 5 jaar ervaring in een premium, klantgerichte omgeving.
• Ervaring binnen automotive is een pre, maar een achtergrond in high-end interieur, keukens, jachtbouw of luxury retail sluit net zo goed aan.
• Gevoel voor design, materialen, kleuren en afwerking.
• Een gestructureerde en nauwkeurige manier van werken.
• Eigenaarschap over planning, voortgang en kwaliteit.
• Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.

As a Configuration Manager, you are responsible for ensuring this process runs smoothly. You guide clients through every decision, document their choices, monitor the progress of the configuration phase, and ensure all specifications are complete and accurate before the Defender enters production.

You are the client’s dedicated point of contact throughout this journey. You know exactly when someone needs advice, additional guidance, or simply a gentle push towards making a decision. You work closely with the Project Director. While you are responsible for the configuration process and client experience, the Project Director oversees the technical execution, quality, and overall progress of the build.

With a strong eye for design, exceptional attention to detail, and a structured approach, you deliver a premium customer experience while ensuring a seamless handover to production.

From the moment the vision for a Defender has been defined, you take ownership of the configuration process. You guide clients through every step of their journey, ensuring every decision is captured and no detail is overlooked.

You manage multiple projects simultaneously and always know which decisions are still outstanding, what information is required, and when action is needed to keep the project on track.

You will:

• Guide clients throughout the entire configuration process.
• Monitor the progress of the configuration phase and ensure all decisions are made and documented on time.
• Translate customer requirements into complete and accurate production specifications.
• Advise clients on materials, colours, finishes, and options in collaboration with the Project Director.
• Maintain professional, personal, and engaging communication with clients, primarily via email.
• Coordinate closely with the relevant internal departments throughout the process.
• Identify potential bottlenecks and ensure that outstanding customer decisions never impact the production schedule.
• Assemble our Design Boxes and contribute to their ongoing development and refinement.

Someone who has:

• A completed degree in Interior Design, Product Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Preferably 3–5 years of experience in a premium, customer-focused environment.
• Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage, but a background in high-end interiors, luxury kitchens, yacht building, or luxury retail is equally relevant.
• A strong sense of design, materials, colours, and finishes.
• A structured, organised, and detail-oriented way of working.
• A strong sense of ownership for planning, progress, and quality.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
