IT Director - All Organizations

We are seeking a strategic and experienced IT Director - All Organizations to lead the IT strategy, operations, and infrastructure across Apogee Ventures LLC and its portfolio of organizations. Reporting to the CAIO, this role will oversee the development and execution of IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Founders’ vision and the operational needs of our diverse entities.

• Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy to support the goals of Apogee Ventures LLC and its portfolio organizations, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable IT systems, including cloud infrastructure, networks, and enterprise applications.
• Cybersecurity Oversight: Lead the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards across all organizations.
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and overseeing budgets to optimize cost and performance.
• Cross-Organizational Coordination: Collaborate with portfolio organizations to align IT solutions with their specific operational needs, ensuring seamless integration and support.
• Technology Innovation: Identify and implement emerging technologies (e.g., AI, cloud solutions, automation) to enhance organizational efficiency and competitiveness.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify IT risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and resilience.

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a director-level role, preferably in a family office, venture capital, or multi-organizational environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Skills:
• Proven expertise in IT strategy, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing cross-functional IT teams.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, ITIL) and tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
