As Machine Learning Engineer you ensure accurate passenger flow forecasts for smooth airport operations. Continuously improving data-driven planning and decision-making at Schiphol. How you achieve results in this? That’s up to you. We trust in the way you can distinguish between main and secondary issues and make connections. You put your talents to work at:

  • Productionizing and supporting machine learning solutions and data pipelines for forecasting.
  • Implementing monitoring and observability tools to ensure solution reliability.
  • Collaborating with data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders for effective solutions.
  • Developing reusable components for the machine learning infrastructure.
  • Exploring new technologies to enhance forecasting processes and infrastructure.

You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies like Azure, Kubernetes, Databricks, Airflow, and Streamlit in a dynamic environment where innovation is key. Schiphol’s unique scale means your work affects millions of passengers and the entire airport ecosystem.

You've got this

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in machine learning or data engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.
  • Experience with Databricks and cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerized application deployment.
  • Experience with Streamlit or comparable dashboarding tools is a plus.

You get this

  • € 4981 to € 6911 gross per month (Schaal 12).
  • A 13th month (year-end bonus).
  • The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
  • An NS Business Card that fully reimburses travel by public transportation to and from work.
