Join Our Team as a Molding Engineer

Are you passionate about turning innovative ideas into tangible products that improve people's lives? Do you have a strong background in plastics and a knack for precision? We're looking for a Molding Engineer to join our team in Drachten, where you'll be at the forefront of bringing our next-generation consumer products to life.

In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for all things molding. You'll work on cutting-edge products, from electric toothbrushes to shavers, overseeing the entire process from initial design to mass production. This is a unique opportunity to use your technical expertise to shape our product line and contribute to a more sustainable future through innovation in materials and processes.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the industrialization of new plastic parts, bringing innovative product designs to reality on a large scale.
  • Innovate and implement advanced molding systems and processes. You'll stay on top of the latest trends, including sustainability, and apply them to our manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with project teams and external suppliers to ensure our molding processes meet strict product and production standards.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of new molds, from initial specifications and ordering to final implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Optimize processes using tools like DFSS and lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and quality.


Functie-eisen
What You'll Bring
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in plastic part manufacturing, ideally in a high-volume consumer goods environment.
  • Deep knowledge of plastic part making, including DFM analysis, mold construction, and injection molding processes.
  • Experience with molding trials, process investigation, and troubleshooting.
  • A Six Sigma or DMAIC certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • A proactive, hands-on, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Compensation & benefits

Primary employment conditions

  • Monthly salary as per market standards
  • A 13th month payment, pro-rated periodically
  • 8.33% holiday allowance calculated on 12 monthly salaries

Secondary employment conditions

  • Pension Plus scheme
  • Net €750,- to set up your home workplace
  • 25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours
  • Travel allowance
