As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for identifying and maintaining business opportunities. You are also responsible for increasing turnover through acquisition of new suppliers and customers in these markets. Therefore, it is essential that you are a keen business-relationship builder. You will work in a small team of 4-5 people in our Rotterdam office. This role also involves travel.
Key responsibilities:
Development of international B2B sales (increasing coverage and sales volume).
Working with a cross-functional team on foreign trade issues (with the legal department, logistics department, quality department, accounting).
Negotiating with key partners.
Creating and developing the client base.
Expanding the assortment for customers and increasing sales volume.
Planning the development of trade activities for the next 1-3 years.
Participation in relevant exhibitions and fairs including other countries.
Reporting regularly on work results.

Functie eisen
Higher education.
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in international trading or business development from which minimum 2 years of experience in working with a subordinate team in a similar position.
Solid understanding of foreign trade operations, international logistics, Incoterms, supply chain management and international trade law.
Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to understand client needs, close deals effectively, and maintain long-term business relations.
Strong knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks, including trade legislation, product certification requirements, and compliance standards for goods entering European markets.
Willingness for international business trips.
Analytical skills, structure.
Able to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when needed.
Fluent in English and knowledge of any other foreign language is a plus.
Residing in the Netherlands, ideally in Rotterdam area.
