Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Supply Chain Coordinator to join the team of Chemicals Supply Chain Management Organization of SABIC in Geleen (the Netherlands). This is a challenging, high-responsibility position where you will be essential to the success of their global logistics.


About the Team

The Supply Chain Management organization is the logistical backbone of the SABIC Chemicals business. They manage a massive 14 million tons per year, overseeing:

  • Cracker feedstock
  • Cracker products (e.g., aromatics, butadiene, ethylene, propylene)
  • Saudi import materials (e.g., glycols, methanol, MTBE)


Their department’s core mission is to ensure the seamless, uninterrupted execution of the Order To Cash (OTC) and Purchase To Pay (PTP) processes. You will be part of a dedicated team of 17 Supply Chain Coordinators, each specializing in specific product clusters.


Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will take proactive measures to secure our end-to-end supply chain, managing all aspects of supply, demand, inventory, and transport.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Contract Management: Monitor and execute purchase, sales, and swap contracts.
  • Performance & Quality: Monitor feedstock quality, operational performance of logistic service providers, and stock levels, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  • Order Management: Enter and process orders accurately in SAP.
  • Scheduling: Schedule all deliveries in close cooperation with customers and goods suppliers.
  • Logistics: Nominate and call off transport, survey, and other essential logistic services.
  • Finance: Handle invoice creation and verification.
  • Collaboration: Support Customer Financial Services and Sales Managers regarding overdue payments and coordinate the entire claim process.


When you will start in this position, you will be connected to a senior team member and he/she will give guidance during your first months at SABIC. The most important skill will be your willingness to learn. Then the team will make sure you will be trained and informed about all the activities.

Job Requirements 

  • Minimum of an HBO (Bachelor's) degree
  • A good level of English and Dutch (written and spoken) is required.
  • Proficiency in German (a plus).
  • A strong affinity for Supply Chain Management (SCM) and related processes, specifically Order To Cash (OTC) and Purchase To Pay (PTP) / Knowledge of SAP is a strong advantage.
