Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accurate booking in, storage, and movement of goods in line with the ERP system.
- Manage the picking process to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to production.
- Ensure stock accuracy, proper rotation, and minimal waste.
- Continuously improve warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and ensure compliance with Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of MHE and storage facilities.
- Manage all warehouse administration related to receiving, issuing, and dispatching goods.
- Coach and develop the warehouse team, managing rotas, recruitment, training, and performance.
Critical Success Factors
- Booking in, storage, and ERP accuracy.
- Alignment of order picking with production planning.
- Stock reliability and rotation.
- Compliance with Health & Safety standards.
- Product quality and customer service performance.
- Labour and material cost control.
- Continuous improvement of warehouse processes and systems.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- Logistics/Supply Chain qualification and/or membership of a relevant institution is desirable.
- Previous experience in flowers, fresh produce, food production, or FMCG is preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practices.
Skills & Attributes
