Functieomschrijving

Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity to take a high-impact leadership role within the F126 Frigates Project. You'll be central to ensuring the on-time, on-budget delivery of complex naval defense subsystems across an international, multi-entity environment.

As the Internal Project Manager F126, you will report directly to the F126 Project Director, overseeing approximately 10 complex/critical control accounts with a total budget exceeding 1 billion euros. Your core focus is on project management excellence, specifically schedule and cost control, while leading and unifying the F126 internal organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the schedule and cost baseline. Establish and drive mechanisms for 'drumbeating,' schedule control, and cost governance.
  • Lead and federate product teams, including Engineering, Product, and Subcontract Project Managers, to achieve schedule, quality, and cost goals.
  • Chair supervisory reviews for subordinate control accounts/work packages, resolving blockers, and making decisions based on delegation from the Program Director.
  • Highlight key issues and risks, ensuring resource challenges are managed urgently, and initiating specific issue resolution initiatives.
  • Actively manage through the schedule using critical path analysis and clarifying dependencies.
  • High exposure to Corporate, GBU, and Country stakeholders, requiring strong coordination and influencing skills in a multi-entity setting across the Netherlands, Germany, and Romania.
  • Support solution delivery in customer meetings when required by the External PM.

Functie-eisen
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • IPMA certification level B minimum (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in complex international project management and multi-entity relationship management.
  • High accountability, exceptional team-building and leadership skills, problem-solving mindset, impactful presentation abilities, and an internal (Thales) networking capability.
  • A drive to ‘Think Big, Make it Happen, Together.’
  • Mastery of the English language. Knowledge of German is a plus, and French is a bonus.
